- The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Addison, has stated that the Second Deputy Governor, Dr. Asiama is on leave

- Earlier reports indicated that Dr. Asiama had taken advantage of his accumulated leave to resign from the bank

Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that contrary to earlier reports, the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Asiama, is on leave.

It was initially alleged that Dr. Asiama had taken advantage of accumulated leave in order to resign from his position.

In a report by mynewsgh.com, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Yedu Addison, stated that Dr, Asiama is on leave.

He went ahead to say that it is untrue Dr. Asiama had resigned, and as such the rumours should end.

News was rife in the media that that the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Asiama had been pressured by some people within government to resign.
