Baby Cash, YEN.com.gh understands, as Belgium-based businesswoman who owns a label called Baby Cash Records,on Saturday.
Her record label is reported to have shown a lot of interest in signing Shatta Wale but a deal failed to materialise.
Explaining why she was not succesful in signing Shatta, she said she shelved the idea because the Dancehall King's behaviour has diminished his brand and also contradicts her reasons for wanting to sign him.
“ For me, yes I, once said I wanted to buy Shatta Wale’s empire but no one will want to associate his/herself with a dirty rag..one would expect Shatta Wale to be working toward solidifying his brand in order for him to be more appealing to the international market, but he rather enjoys thriving on negative publicity which is limiting his brand to Ghana…he is now a dirty rag who can not break through the international market”, Baby Cash stated.
Baby Cash who was speaking at an event to unveil her label's newly signed artistes, D Sky, a dancehall artiste and Clinton Adumatah, a Highlife musician said "now I have artistes who are better than Shatta Wale".
Shatta Wale maybe a very controversial personality but to describe his brand as dirty rag is quite a very bold statement especially when he has not publicly attacked you.
