Versatile screen goddess, Nana Ama McBrown, has disclosed that she couldn’t complete her junior high school (JHS) education.
Her revelation comes as a shock to many who did not know that the talented actress has not scaled any heights in education as compared with some of her colleagues in the movie industry.
Rather shockingly, the beautiful actress dropped out of school when she was in JSS 2 just a year ahead to sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Consequently, the opportunity to sit for the BECE while a student at Kwadaso L.A. J.S.S, eluded her.
Speaking with students at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the renowned actress shared what accounted for her inability to complete JSS.
According to Nana Ama, her parents faced severe financial constraint; stated a mynewsgh report.
She added also that her family size was large and since her parents couldn’t afford the educational needs of her and her other siblings she had no option than to quit school much against her wish to pursue other interests.
Born Felicia Ama Agyemang, Nana Ama then proceeded to lunch her football talent which later earned her a place in Kotoko Ladies Football Club.
Though the pain of not completing her JSS education has stuck with her, Nana Ama hopes to go back to school and grab a certificate soon.
She disclosed that she has plans to further her education in the near future.
“I don’t have the degree or the educational certificates but I will do them some day.”
“I want to use this opportunity to urge you not to allow challenges like mine to weigh you down,” she advised
Despite the challenges she encountered while growing up, Nana Ama McBrown has proven that one could still excel in life without necessarily a higher education.
Even though she appears mostly in Kumahood movies, Nana Ama also shows impeccable command over the English language when she gets the opportunity to star in an English-speaking movies.
She has an uncountable number of movies to her credit.
Nana Ama is currently a brand ambassador for institutions including Hi-Sense Electronics, Calorad, Tasty Tom Tamoto paste and others.
