Ghanaian celebrities have had their hands full this year with the release of new songs, TV shows, movies and other events where they had to bring their A-game.
With Google being the needed assistant we have, it has become easy for people to search for news about their favorite stars and what they are up to.
However Sarkodie may have gotten the wrong end of that stick, as 2017 shows the most searched question about the rapper is whether he died.
“Is Sarkodie dead?” was found to be the most searched question in the Google internet trends about Ghana this year, while gospel singer Sonnie Badu came second with people asking “Is Sonnie Badu dead?”
It is a very surprising question to trend about the rapper surely, but this follows some false publications in other parts of the continent that stated ‘The Highest’ hitmaker had passed away.
Other interesting and odd questions that were in the top trends list were “Who is the president of Ghana?” and “What is a female Hyena called?”
Ghana first got to know Sarkodie when he was featured on two songs from hiplife Edem’s maiden album, Volta Regime.
He scored major success with his first single ‘Baby’ with Mugeez of R2Bs fame, which quickly made him a household name in the Ghana rap game.
From 2009 till date, Sarkodie worked hard and has steadily risen to become a brand in the music business in Ghana and across Africa.
Sarkodie released his ‘Highest’ album in September this year, which is his fifth studio album.
Sarkodie has an adorable baby girl called Titi, with longtime girlfriend Tracy.
