According to Google, Ghana's self acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale's hit song "Taking Over" was the most searched for song in Ghana for the year 2017.

Google's official search results for the year 2017 have shown that Shatta Wale's had quite a successful year with regards to the songs he's released over the last 12 months.

The results show three of Shatta Wale's songs made the top 10 list of the most searched songs in Ghana and - honestly - we're not too surprised. Over the last 12 months, the controversial dancehall artist has released several songs that have ended up being huge hits in the Ghanaian music industry.

Google's results show that Shatta Wale's "taking Over" song - the one he refers to someone as Sergeant Lee - was the most searched for song on Google, beating Davido's hit songs "If" and "Fall".

That's not it though, Shatta Wale's track "Ayoo" and "Forgetti" also ranked well on the list, taking the 4th and 7th positions respectively.
