- Alban Bagbin is jabbing Mahama for disregarding the KB report
- The second deputy speaker is eyeing the position of NDC flagbearer
The former president, John Dramani Mahama, has been blamed for disrespecting the recommendations from he Kwesi Botchway Committee.
The second deputy speaker of parliament, Alban Bagbin, says Mahama's move to embark on various NDC unity walks is very much against the principles of the Kwesi Botchway report.
According to him, the massive crowd the unity walk was able to pull is never indicative of NDC's strength and unity. He says the challenges of the NDC continues to be overlooked by John Mahama.
The second deputy speaker, who is currently contesting the flagbearer position of the NDC says Mahama is losing the picture of how best to win an election.
"He should not behave as if it is the mob that is taking him along because he is a leader and must show leadership. What you see in the crowd does not mean their members of the NDC. There are a lot of teeming unemployed youth who are doing nothing and definitely join,” he revealed.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been accused of taking $2,000 each from its members who want to know the contents of the much sought after Kwesi Botchwey committee report, an aspiring Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Organiser has alleged.
According to Dennis Kwakwa who is also a member of the NPP's communication, though the NDC maintains that the report is classified and would not be released, he was aware that "NDC members are paying two thousand dollars to see the contents of the report”.
