Born Leila Afua Djansi, US based Ghanaian filmmaker didn't always want to shoot movies for a living. Nevertheless, when she saw the opportunity to take step into the industry. Leila has previously revealed that her career in the beginning of her career was full challenges, but she's overcome them to become one of Ghana's most respected filmmakers.

Nana AMa McBrowns story is a testament that hard work, persevere, and not letting other people discourage you from your goals will eventually lead one to success. The popular Kumawood actress recently revealed that she can't even boast of a BECE certificate, although she's obviously more successful than many who do have one.
Martha Ankomah, a successful actress and entrepreneur has previously referred to her childhood as "difficult". Regardless of her hardships at home, she's been in involved in acting and theatre from an early age. Born Kwadwo Nkansa, Lil Win is another Ghanaian celebrity who's had to faced hardship and adversity who's been able to overcome them and flourish in the process. Having appeared in hundreds of local movies, he's gone on to receive endorsement contracts from major companies in Ghana such as Coca Cola, MTN, Hisense, and Special Rice to name a few.
