Natural girl hit maker, Mz Vee has been under fire following her public declaration that she would choose money over character anytime, in search of a husband.
In an interview with Joy FM which was reported by YEN.com.gh, Mz Vee said she was tired of living a single life and so was in search of a mate.
She added that she was expecting his prospective marriage mate to have at least 30 billion in his account before he could court her.
Following her comments, Mz Vee has come under heavy criticisms from the public.
The 25-year old singer has been chided as a materialistic girl.
This obviously has not gone down well with the “Sing My Name” hit maker who took to Facebook to explain her initial stance of “30 billion requirement”.
She stated that her comments have been misconstrued by the public.
According to her, by stating that she wants a man with 30 billion, she actually meant that she wanted “an ambitious man who would not be intimidated by her successes.”
MzVee made a quick u-turn on her earlier comments; now claiming that character does play a role in picking a partner.
“I know that character does play a role in picking a partner, like other factors such as religious orientation, and how the man treats a woman,” she averred.
The ‘Borkor’ singer however stated that though people might find her comments on money controversial money, indeed, does play a role in relationships if one really has the future in mind.
She reiterated that all her statements are her personal opinions which she’s not forcing on anyone.
Mz Vee is signed to Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment has three albums to her credits and currently promoting the remix of “Sing My Name” featuring Patoranking.
She has received prestigious awards including VGMA awards for Unsung Artiste of the Year (2014), Best New Artiste Of The Year (2015) and Best Female Vocalist of the Year (2016).
