The top brass of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) stormed Kpando in the Volta Region for the final funeral rites of the party's former Regional Women Organiser, Mercy Kuada.
Among the party stalwarts were former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Mahama.
The two exchanged a firm handshake when they bumped into each other with the people around smiling.
Former President Mahama whose presence seemed to have fascinated the crowd was literally mobbed as some took advantage to have photos with him.
Also present at the funeral was the party's Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho and National Chairman, Kofi Portuphy.
The late Mercy Kuada was a long-serving NDC executive who passed away on August 13th, after an illness which left her indisposed for a while.
The deceased, 64, left behind three sons and a daughter.
