The trials, she added, have shaped her career and personal growth to help her reach her present status.
In a report by mynewsgh.com, she sought to dispel the notion that she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
The versatile actress revealed that during her formative years, she had to engage in numerous activities in order to survive.
According to her, she once played for Kotoko ladies before jumping into the movie industry when she met the late Kwame Owusu Ansah.
In an interaction with students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), she stated that she has achieved her present success by dint of hardwork.
“…I refused to be a burden to society and against all the odds I promised I was going to make it in life”, she stated.
Nana Ama McBrown further added that perseverance and determination were her keys to success.
That notwithstanding, she is convinced there is a lot more she could achieve, taking into consideration the fact that there are changing trends in life.
In wrapping up her advice to the students, she counseled them to be innovative, committed, and a determination to be abreast with modern trends.
“I did not get to my present state complaining and wishing for others to come do what I should do for myself”, she revealed.
