Teen actress Clara Benson popularly known as Maame Serwaa has reiterated that she still plans to go on with her planned Christmas party and awareness creation in Accra despite the loss of her mother.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, the actress revealed that she was still up to the task to put smiles on the faces of many children at her December 30 program dubbed, ““A Day with Maame Serwaa: Putting Smiles on Children’s Faces”.

According to the actress, the incident that has occurred cannot be revoked so she was determined to let the children in Accra smile as they have fun at the Efua Sutherland Park.

The actress revealed that her foundation, "The Maame Serwaa Foundation" had far advanced plans for the program to come off despite their sorrow due to the loss of her mother, Mrs. Rose Amoateng Benson.

According to the actress, the program is aimed at raising awareness for her foundation which she expects to start operation early next year to address the issue of education.

“The objective of the foundation is to promote girl child education by supporting some street children to acquire some education. The target of the foundation is to see some young ladies through primary school to JSS” the actress added.

The foundation would also provide some basic needs of the students as they get admitted into school. The one day event is scheduled to take place at the Afua Sutherland’s Park popularly called Children’s Park located in the heart of Accra.

There would be many fun activities to keep the children engaged, her management indicated.

Many public figures who are going to support Maame Serwaa to pull off her program include Nana Ama McBrown, Bismark the Joke, Emelia Brobbey, Kwaku Manu, Fella Makafui, Bill Asamoah, Vivian Jill Lawrence and diminutive actor Yaw Dabo, Dade Opanka, Keche, Cartoon of TV3’s “Talented Kidz” fame and Don Itchi.
