The two suspects were picked up in connection with the disappearance of one Osei Kwaku at the Ejisu constituency.

The two suspects, Kwame Adom Boakye and George Appiah Kubi, a Research and Elections Officer and Deputy Constituency Organizer of the NPP, are alleged to be behind the disappearance of the NPP officer.

According to Citi FM report, the suspects on Tuesday besieged the Kokobra electoral area, where the party’s polling station registration exercise was on-going with four men and bundled Osei Kwaku into a taxi cab and sped off.

The Police say the two suspects upon interrogations claimed that they only escorted the victim to the Onwe electoral area to retrieve NPP polling station register.

The two added that they left Osei at the polling center after retrieving the register, therefore cannot account for his hereabouts.

Meanwhile, the ASP Julian Obeng, the Ashanti Regional police PRO on Wednesday told Citi FM that the police have “combed the whole of Onwe electoral area since Tuesday but to no avail.

“There are efforts from the divisional level and here at the regional level to make sure that we find the person who is missing,” she added.

The Police PRO added that, “Just when they got there, they took away Osei Kwaku and that is it. Up until this morning, we still haven’t been able to locate Osei Kwaku. This is the more reason we have arrested George Appiah and Boakye so they can help us in investigations.”
