The Ghana police person is entreating on the general public to respect its ban on the firing of firecrackers popularly known "knockout".
Despite the national ban on these products, some traders are still being able to smuggle the goods to the market.
But the director of public affairs at the public, Sheila Kessie Abayie-Buckman, warns that anyone caught exploding them this yuletide will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with section 6 of the Public Order Act 491 of 1994.
She further urged for all persons using the firecrackers to feel free and return them to the nearest poilce station.
