Talented Ghanaian singer, Jane Awindor, better known as Efya, has expressed shock over recent comment made by an artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiama Handson, aka Bulldog.
Bulldog in few weeks ago was in the news for saying that the only way to be successful in managing a female artiste is to engage in a sexual relationship with her.
But speaking on Bolgatanga-based A1 radio, the songstress indicated that it is ridiculous for an artiste manager like Bulldog to harbor that kind of thoughts.
“I think it’s ridiculous for an artiste manager to say that. It is ridiculous for him to suggest this,” she said.
Efya in her conversation stressed that it is always proper for managers to separate business from relationship.
She also wondered why Bulldog thinks there will not be success if an artiste and their managers are not engaged in any form of sexual relationship.
“We are here to make money not boyfriends so we at all times separate business from relationship because it’s the business that has to be sustained,” Efya said.
She also added that, “relationships can break anytime so the perception that you need to date your manager before you can be successful in music is ridiculous”.
