In a report by Metro FM, the popular radio presenter argued that Sefa Kayi doesn’t deserve the top prize as his current status is above the value of the award.

She passed the comment when wrapping up with her flagship programme, Burning Issues on Wednesday 20th December 2017.

Popular known as Chairman General, Kwame Sefa Kayi grabbed the grand prize at the award ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the State House.

For his prize, he took home a cash prize of GHc60,000, a 3-beedroom house and a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

“How can you give Chairman General Journalist of the year?’’, she wondered.

According to Vim Lady, Sefa Kayi is above such an award considering his experience and contribution to Ghana’s media industry.

She added that he has exceeded every local award, due to his almost three decades of media practice in Ghana.

“…I don’t understand why GJA presented him that award.

How can you give him such an award? His contribution towards national development has been immense.

He is such a big brand and exceeds such awards” she added.
