Lionel Messi has told close friend Neymar that he still misses his presence at Barcelona.
La Pulga sent a heartfelt festive message to his former teammate who left Barca to join Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record deal in the summer.
Messi and Neymar have stayed in regular contact and the Argentine has sent a Christmas message to his former teammate just before handing him his secret Santa gift.
In a short video, he says: "Well, Ney... I think we said practically everything to each other when you left.
"The truth is that here we are still missing you. We would like to keep sharing the mates [a South American hot drink] in the morning with Luis in the dressing room and many more things.
"Like always, I wish you the best wherever you are and I'm sure we will cross again on or off the pitch very soon. Take care of yourself."
Messi then sends a gift to his close pal, appearing to be some form of sangria.
Neymar replied: "Brother, thanks. For me, you are an idol and also a great friend. Big hugs."
The gift is part of a secret Santa game organized by Neymar for his friend.
Yen.com.gh reported that Luis Suarez gifted Liverpool's Phil Coutinho a vodka bottle in a Barcelona bag as part of the secret Santa game.
The 30-year-old striker spent spent one-and-a-half seasons with Coutinho at Anfield between 2013 and 2014.
