Woman mysteriously dies in trotro leaving 2-year-old daughter behind

A middle-aged woman has died in a commercial vehicle leaving her two-year-old daughter behind during a travel from Fosu in the Central Region to Takoradi in the Western Region.

It all happened when the lady had left the vehicle, which was "loading", to visit the washroom. Upon her return, she then called a pure water vendor to get for herself some water but after being handed over the sachet of water, she just collapsed and died.

So far, it remains very difficult for the police to identify her since she carried no cell phone or an identity card.

The Nyamoransa police who confirmed the story says the two-year-old child is currently in the possession of the police as they wait for family members.

According to a Police Inspector, Liberty Kobla, the woman should be between the ages of 35-40 years, dark in complexion and was carrying plantain in a sack.

The body has since been deposited at the Intervention Teaching Hospital in Cape Coast as the general public is being urged to help identify the deceased woman.
