Multiple award-winning dancehall act, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy could not hold back his tears at the just-ended 2017 BHIM concert as he wept in remembrance of his mum.
Pictures that were sighted on entertainment website zionfelix.net, the “Come from far” hit maker was seen shedding tears on stage in loving memory of his mother.
The artiste shocked patrons who were present at the Accra International Conference Center when tears filled his eyes during the performance of his song, “Mama” which is part of his “Epistles of Mama” album.
Some of the musicians who were on the bill and treated fans to an awesome night and arguably the biggest pre-Christmas bash included dancehall artiste Samini, Becca, Edem, King Promise, Luther, Kumi Guitar, Obibino, AMG boss Medikal, Kelvyn Boy, Kojo Funds and gospel sensation, Joyce Blessing.
The concert was purposely to hear Stonebwoy perform songs from his latest album known as “EOM” or “Epistles of Mama”; an album dedicated to the memory of his late mother, Madam Catherine Satekla.
Stonebwoy’s mum is believed to have passed away at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on July 29, 2015 and from all indications, the “People Dey” hit maker has still not recovered from the loss.
The album consists 24 songs and features a topnotch local and international heavyweights such as Sean Paul, Chronixx, Sarkodie, Pressure, I Octane, Efya, Vanessa Bling, Joey B and Kabaka Pyramid.
Stonebwoy, in a recent radio interview revealed that it was ‘divine’ for him to feature Sean Paul on his project because he was one of his role models.
Zylofon Media actress and Kumawood star, Benedicta Gafah was seen dancing her heart out among the many patrons who had filled the Accra International Conference Center.
