Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Solomon N. Boar has been accused of supporting conflicts in the Northern region.
In a report by mynewsgh.com, Boar is alleged to have given his blessings to gunmen who opened fire on residents of Najong Number One in the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District, killing four on December 10, 2017.
The elders of the community therefore held a press conference at Tamale where they revealed the reasons they want the deputy minister to vacate his office.
According to them, the deputy minister, who is also the member of parliament (MP) for the area, failed to protect them when it mattered the most.
He is also alleged to have sided with one group involved in a conflict, thereby stirring up trouble in the community.
The press conference further revealed the deputy minister, along with the former MP, Laar John Nirokinan and another person known as Mr. Kombat or “Saa”, where the ringleaders in the attempt to cause confusion in the area.
The elders therefore called for Boar’s immediate resignation, as in their opinion, he had failed to live up to expectation.
