Former Arsenal player, Emmanuel Eboue, has opened up concerning the tragic events in his life that have brought him to the brink of suicide in a recent interview with British media.

Everyone's heard the phrase "from rags to riches", but Emmanuel Eboue's tragic story about problems in his life that have left him bankrupt, and practically homeless has given definition to the phrase "riches to rags".
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Emmanuel revealed that his problems have left him at a point in his life where he's hiding from court bailiffs, and battling suicidal thoughts. The former Arsenal player related that he prays that God helps him get rid of his suicidal thoughts.
“I want God to help me... Only he can help take these thoughts from my mind.” Said the former Arsenal player.

Emmanuel Eboue, who was recently hoping to make a come into the world of football, had his hopes dashed when he was slapped with a 12 month ban after an incident with an agent.
Ten years ago Emmanual Eboue was a high profile player in Arsenal, one who played in the match that had Arsenal facing Barcelona in the Champions League. He also helped get the Ivorian national team to the 2012 African Cup of Nations final.
Now Emmanuel sleeps on a friend's floor after losing a divorce case with his ex-wife because the judge awarded his ex-wife all their assets. Nevertheless, Emmanuel is yet to sign over ownership of his north London home, even though it is now three past the deadline to do so.
“I am in the house but I am scared. Because I don’t know what time the police will come...Sometimes I shut off the lights because I don’t want people to know that I am inside. I put everything behind the door." Said Emmanuel.

Emmanuel went on to recount how he's been estranged from his three kids, who he hasn't seen in three months.
“My own house. I suffered to buy my house but I am now scared. I am not going to sell my clothes or sell what I have. I will fight until the end because it is not fair.” said Emmanuel.
Further recounting his story, Emmanuel related how the site of Thierry Henry on TV as a football pundit he gets him thinking negative thoughts. Not because he jealous of him, but because it reminds him of his own problems.
Emmanuel hopes opening up about his troubles will help those also suffering with suicidal thoughts, and also help other players not make the same mistake.
