-Robbers have attacked an SDA Church in Kumasi during an all service making away with cash and other items
-They injured a church member and left church members traumatised
Members of the Seventh Day Aventist (SDA) Church at Adoato-Aduana, a suburb of Kumasi got a nightmarish experience after robbers attack them during an all night service.
Three robbers, wearing masks, reportedly stormed the church around 3am Sunday dawn and ordered the church members to surrender their belongings including cash, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, among others.
The robbers were reported to have made away with a cash of GHC8000 and the other items after injuring one church member.
The injured, Dr Osei Mensah, YEN.com.gh understands, was hit in the head with the butt of a pump-action assault rifle by one of the robbers because to he delayed in surrendering his belongings.
The attack, according to the head pastor of the church, Richard Amponsah-Acheampong has left his members traumatised.
The development has got the leadership of the church worried as it is the second time in about two weeks that an SDA Church in Kumasi has suffered such an attack. A similar incident happened at the Ahinsan SDA Church.
The Mid-Central Ghana Conference has therefore hinted of strengthening security at its branches.
