- Lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, has narrated his first experience with defilement
- The lawyer has been speaking fiercely against defilement at the 2017 Orgasm Conference at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.
Celebrity lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, says he was defiled as a young boy by an 18-year-old lady.
The lawyer confesses that it all happened at age 11 when the 18-year-old lady took advantage of him after luring him to play the Ghanaian children's game; "Maame ne Paapa".
“I quite remember the first day I broke my virginity, it was rape….at the age of I think 11 years. We had this girl who was 18-years and was from Chorkor, and I from Sukura. So we did what we call ‘Maame ne Paapa’. So she said she was the ‘Maame’ and I was the ‘Paapa’,” Lawyer Ampaw revealed during the 2017 Orgasm Conference at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.
This revelation by Lawyer Ampaw follows recent cases of defilement which has ravaged the country. A recent case was that of teenagers at Bantama who ill-treated their female age-mate at Bantama in the Ashanti Region.
So far, the gender minister, Otiko Djaba, has called for all perpetrators to be brought to book and made to face the full rigours of the law.
