A police officer by the name of David Fandoh has been apprehended by residents at the Nkrumah Flats, and turned over to police for reportedly attempting to hijack a taxi from its driver.
According to a report by mynewsgh.com, a policeman by the name of David Fandoh with service number 53389 - along with two accomplices still at large - unsuccessfully attempted to rob a taxi driver named Frank Owusu in order to relieve him of his vehicle with registration number GG 4316=17.
The suspected robbers allegedly hired the taxi driver from Kwame Nrkumah Circle, and ended up taking the unsuspecting driver to Nkrumah Flats. At some point after reaching Nkrumah Flats the robbers pepper sprayed the taxi driver in the face and demanded that he relinquish the car keys.
Lucky enough for the driver, he raised the alarm and bystanders came to his rescue, while another driver who was passing by intentionally hit the suspect [David Fandoh] with his car and rendered him incapable of escaping.

Police were later notified of the incident and a patrol car dispatched to the scene of the crime. Police officers were able to rescue the suspect from mob justice and, after brief questioning, found out the suspect's name and that he's with national visibility along with his accomplices still at large.
A foreign manufactured pistol and a can of pepper spray were also found on the suspect, and the suspect has been taken to the Police Hospital where he's responding to treatment.
