- Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has said some practices carried out by parliamentarians are signs of corruption
- He said that corruption in Ghana is not limited to politicians and the civil service
Firebrand New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP), Hon.Kennedy Agyapong has once more cried out against corruption in Parliament, this time saying that some practices in Ghana's legislative body are corrupt.
Speaking on GhOne's State of Affairs political talk show with host Nana Aba Anamoah, Kennedy Agyapong equated some practices in parliament to corruption, and highlighted an instance where parliamentarians - who already have their own vehicles - were bused out to Koforudia and given allowances to carry out their work.
"Because you drive with your own car, your own fuel everything," insisted the maverick Assin Central Member of Parliament.

The firebrand Assin Central legislator went on to say that when legislators hold a Ministry for ransom and demand that it gives them one thing or another before a particular budget can be approved in parliament is one obvious instance of corruption.
“I don’t hold brief for somebody and I will not sit here and say it does not happen...” he said.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong went on to express that - according to him - Ghanaians are inherently corrupt, and that the corruption is not limited to politicians and civil servants.
“Instead of thinking of development for our nation, we are thinking of making ourselves rich at the expense of the poor," he said.
