Kalybos and ‘partner’ Ahuofe Patri make Ghana proud at London Awards

Ghanaian comedian, Richard Asante, commonly known as Kalybos, and his ‘partner’ Ahoufe Patri, have been honoured at the 2017 Black British Entertainment Awards ceremony held in London.

The two were recognized and awarded for their immense contribution to the Arts industry.

The Black British Entertainment Awards was held on December 16, 2017, at the iconic Porchester Hall in London.

The Award scheme aims at celebrating and projecting the best and brilliant new faces in the UK’s booming Black Entertainment Industry, as well as international brands.

The award was held on the theme “Celebrating the true definition of black excellence” and recognized individuals performing well in the entertainment areas including comedy, films, music, fashion, dance and spoken word.

Both managers of Ahuofe Patri and Kalybos were grateful and prided themselves on the fact the hard work of Kalybos and Ahuofe Patri have been recognized and honoured internationally.

Ahuofe Patri and Kalybos hit the limelight with the popular ‘Boys Kasa’ series which hit the screens a few years ago.

The two have since formed a strong bond and are often seen together at almost all events.

There are many rumours and speculation going round that they two are dating, but Ahuofe Patri has rubbished these claims, insisting that they are just friends.

In one of her interviews with the media, Patri, born Pricilla Opoku Agyeman, ruled out any possibility of a love affair between her and Kalybos when she openly stated “There is no chance at all for Kalybos to date me”.

Kalybos, on the other hand has said his close friend Ahuofe does not take him seriously when he ‘talks’ with her.

He has always stood by Ahuofe and defended her when the need arises.

Recently when it was reported in the media that Ahuofe Patri had turned into a drug addict, Kalybos rose to the defence of his friend, declaring ‘war’ on the blogger who reported such ‘fake’ news.
