29 year old taxi driver in intensive care after suspected acid attack

A 29-year-old taxi driver by the name of Kodwo Allegay, has been admitted into the Effia Nkwana Regional Hospital, in the Western Region, after being attacked by passengers he had in his vehicle.

According to a report by 3news.com, one of two passengers Kodwo picked up in his taxi is said to have doused him with a chemical substance in the early hours of Thursday, January 4th, 2018.

Kodwo Allegay, who's reportedly 29 years old and a father of three, picked up two passengers in Nsuasem, headed towards Agona Nkwanta, where the incident happened.

The report has it that police say no official report has been lodged with them, according to Connect FM, a local radio station.

Nevertheless, ASP Olivia Adiku, the Western Regional Public Relations Officer, said the police will investigate the issue.

Kodwo related from his hospital bed that he was surprised to find out that his assailants didn't try to escape with his Toyota Matrix, which he registered last year.
