Ghana is a very special country, but full of unpredictable people. Today you could be the most appreciated person in the country, and in the next minute you could just slip to being the most 'hated'.

For those who fall within the latter category, though, there is not much they can do but to prepare themselves for the worst.
From the social media trolls to all sorts of unprintable words on the radios and TVs from serial callers, one would definitely not want to fall in the bad books of Ghanaians.
Unfortunately, there are certain people who have begun 2018 in the worst possible way by irking the majority of Ghanaians by virtue of their positions or a cause they are championing.
As a result, they have been involved in one controversy after the other, with many Ghanaians declaring them 'persona non grata' at the moment.

Here are five of the most hated people in Ghana currently:
1. GBC Boss – Dr. Akuffo Annor-Ntow
The Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Dr. Akuffo Annor-Ntow, has been in the news in recent weeks for all the wrong reasons. His crime? He is leading a crusade to make sure that Ghanaians pay their TV License fees.
Mr Annor-Ntow has since been on the receiving end of some unpleasant words from a section of Ghanaians who believe such a request is unjustified.
In fact, he made matters worse for himself when he disclosed that even mobile phone users will be mandated to pay their TV license fees or face court charges. Mr Annor-Ntow may be doing his work, but he has certainly lost favour in the eyes of the public.
2. DVLA Boss – Kwesi Agyemang Busia
In the past couple of days no man has received more criticism from Ghanaians than the Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Kwesi Agyemang Busia.
The DVLA boss has come under the spotlight following a directive from his office to have all drivers looking to register their cars buy a mandatory First Aid box for Ghc 108.
Most drivers have already registered their displeasure with the decision, compelling the Ministry of Transport to step in to halt the whole process. Many people believe the amount being charged for the mandatory First Aid kits is too high, illegal and have laid the blame on the doorstep of Mr Agyemang Busia.

3. Special Development Minister – Mrs Hawa Koomson
You can bet your last coin that no one would want to be in the hot shoes of Special Development Minister Hawa Koomson right now.
Following news that her ministry wanted to spend a whopping Ghc 800,000 on the creation of a website, Mrs Koomson has not been given any breathing space.
Despite rectifying that the figure quoted was a typographical error and that the real amount should have been Ghc 80,000, she has still not been spared by many Ghanaians. Ms Koomson has been labled all sorts of names and it is certainly not a good time to be in her shoes.
4. Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Ministry - Rev. Owusu Bempah
Rev. Owusu Bempah is simply not liked by many Ghanaians is perhaps because of his many negative prophecies.
5. Presidential Staffer - Ms. Clara Napaapa Tia Sulemana
Miss Tia Sulemana has come under fire following what many have described as a “reckless” Facebook post .
She posted on her Facebook wall, "those of you who usually meet me at events and immediately want to submit your CV for employment, this nonsense should end in 2017".
This post generated a lot of hatred from the Ghanaian populace.
