The “One of your own” hit maker dazzled in her outfit on the night and delivered a top-notch performance of the Ghana National Anthem at the Aiteo CAF Awards 2017.

Being the only Ghanaian musician to play a role at the prestigious Awards night, Efya did not fail to disappoint as she delivered a powerful rendition of the anthem.

Her performance saw the entire auditorium stand to their feet to show respect for the anthem.

However, many people took to social media to vent their frustration about the absence of Ghanaian artistes on the night of an African event which was held in Ghana.

NPP stalwart, Gabby Otchere Darko took to his twitter account and bemoaned the situation and expressed his disappointment in CAF.

He said, “CAF was very disrespectful of Ghana tonight by putting performances of artistes across the continent including several from Nigeria and not a single one from Ghana was good enough to be on stage here in Accra? Shocking, and in fact, embarrassing for CAF.”

Efya made headlines with her Girl Talk Concert last year which was held at the National Theatre in Accra.

Last year’s show was dubbed, “The Bow Out” since it was Efya’s last time hosting the all-girl affair which is held annually in December.
