- Lawyer Maurice Ampaw says paying tithes has not made him any better
- The celebrity lawyer reveals he has been tithing for the past 49 years
Celebrity lawyer, Maurice Ampaw is questioning the importance of paying tithes as a Christian. The outspoken lawyer argues that he finds no importance in this Christian ritual and that paying tithes for over 49 years has recorded no breakthrough in his life.
According to Maurice Ampaw, he has no intention to stop paying his tithe, however he believes the payment of tithes has not changed his life in a supernatural way.
“You don’t expect to see the benefits of what you have invested or paid for immediately, it takes time. I have attended church service and for my 49 years of paying tithe, I’ve not seen anything or improvement in life. I have given offering and fasted for about 10 years when my wife was unable to conceive but I didn’t stop paying offering and tithe, he argued in an interview on Zylofon FM.
Paying of tithes remains a very controversial topic in the Christian religion as many argue that pastors, especially in the Charismatic churches are using tithes as an intelligent way to extract monies from gullible congregants.
