It has been reported that the Managing editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper Alhaji Bature has passed on after a short illness, on Friday at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, in Accra.

YEN.com.gh has however gathered some more details over surrounding the death of the ace journalist.
Even though it is unclear what caused the demise of the journalist, it has been alleged that during the Christmas festivities in December, Alhaji Bature slipped and hit his head on the floor of his bath tub while he was taking his bath at home.
It is reported that the impact of hitting his head made him unconscious and in need of immediate medical attention.

He was then rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was admitted. Unfortunately, the outspoken journalist and staunch sympathizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) passed away early Friday morning.
However, unconfirmed reports indicate that a top NPP stalwart who visited the journalist on his sick bed in the hospital bemoaned the ‘pathetic’ condition in which Alhaji Bature was in.
News of his death has sent shockwaves down the spine of many Ghanaians especially those in the field of journalism who were very close to the firebrand journalist and many others who had the chance to sit on political talk shows with him.
Alhaji Bature is expected to be buried immediately per the practices of his religion.

He was noted for his ‘argumentative' posture on political talk shows. One of his ‘arch rivals in the field of political talk shows was NPP’s Kennedy Agyapong.
