-Former president John Mahama eulogizes ace journalist

Former president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama after learning of the sudden death of Alhaji Bature, Managing editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper has taken time to console the bereaved family with words of condolence and encouragement.
Ex-president Mahama took to his Facebook page and made a post which read, “Sudden news of the passing of my brother and friend, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu. This is a great personal loss and for the NDC family. His wit and great sense of analysis will be sorely missed. May Allah the Merciful grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”
The ex-president prayed for the soul of the known NDC sympathizer and mourned his lossbecause of how great of a personality he was.
It was reported that the Managing editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper passed away on Friday at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

It was reported that during the Christmas festivities, Alhaji Bature slipped and hit his head on the floor of his bath tub while he was taking his bath at home.
He was then rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was admitted. Unfortunately, the outspoken journalist and staunch sympathizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) passed away early Friday morning.
News of his death has sent shockwaves down the spine of many Ghanaians especially those in the field of journalism who were very close to the firebrand journalist and many others who had the chance to sit on political talk shows with him.
He was noted for his ‘argumentative posture on political talk shows. One of his ‘arch rivals in the field of political talk shows was NPP’s Kennedy Agyapong.
