Former president John Dramani Mahama was the main side attraction when hundreds of NDC supporters and sympathizers poured onto the streets of Tachiman in the Brong Ahafo, to partake in the party’s unity walk.
The Brong Ahafo edition of the unity walk is the 5th by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as part of efforts to foster unity within the party after the defeat in 2016 elections.
The Saturday morning exercise saw NDC loyalists move through principal streets within the main Techiman Township before they finally converged on the Zongo School Park for a rally.
Speaking at the rally the former president took a dig at the governing NPP, saying they are ready for the Special Prosecutor.
“We the members of NDC are not scared –whether Special Prosecutor, Attorney General or state Attorney, we are not scared,” he said
The NDC had previously held the unity walk in Cape Coast, Tarkwa, Tamale, and Accra.
