Footballers the world over seem to have a quite appalling track record when it comes to getting their images immortalized by sculpturers. First it was Cristiano Ronaldo's image that was almost - but not quite - immortalized in a statue in Madeira Airport in Marhc of last year.

Then a statue of Michael Essien was recently unveiled in Kumasi that had not only Ghanaians, but international media also commenting on how unlike Michael Essien the statue looked like.

Now a recent post by one Facebook user suggests that Black Star skipper, Asamoah Gyan, also has had his image immortalized with a sculpture and - based off of the picture - we wouldn't be surprised if it was the same sculpturer who did Michael Essien's statue too.
