Popular Ghanaian music artiste, Stonebwoy has named Patapaa Amisty as the artiste who surprised him the most in the year 2017.
In a report by Zionfelix.net, the ‘Baafira’ hitmaker, stated that the Agona Swedru-based music artiste suddenly shot to fame, to the surprise of Ghanaians.
His song, ‘One Corner’, became the toast of people in and outside Ghana, as several celebrities, including Nigerian music artistes and record producers, captured themselves in videos dancing to the song.
In an interview on Adom FM’s Drive Time show, Stonebwoy stated that “from nowhere the guy came to take over the airwaves and he was everywhere”.
Patapaa, elated with the praise from the BET award winner, thanked him for his support.
He added that Stonebwoy was one of the few celebrities who captured themselves in a video dancing to the song.
The song, ‘One Corner’, generated a lot of talk on among a cross-section of Ghanaians.
While some danced to it in their own unique ways, others have descended on the musician for promoting indecency among Ghanaians.
One of such persons, veteran actress Grace Omaboe, better known as Maame Dokono, incurred Patapaa’s wrath when she said that the song, along with its dance promotes promiscuity among Ghanaians.
She allegedly added that it should be banned as it is backed by evil spirits.
Patapaa, in a video call, however advised her to mind her own business as he has suffered a lot in life and as such ‘One Corner’ is his breakthrough.
