Akufo-Addo, Samini, and Stonebwoy know I am the King - Shatta Wale 'brags'

- Shatta Wale has said that his accolade 'dancehall king' was bestowed on him by his fans

- He claims some major artistes such as Stonebwoy, Samini and Jupitar can admit that he is indeed the king of dancehall

Award-winning dancehall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known widely by his stage name Shatta Wale, has opened up on his musical prowess and has mentioned the names of people who could attest to the fact that he is the king of dancehall.

Speaking at a recent show in which he was billed to perform, the “Dancehall King” indicated that being a king was not attributed to the number of awards one had.

He added that Samini, Stonebwoy, Jupitar, Epixode and even President Nana Addo Dankwa AKufo-Addo knew that he was the dancehall king of Ghana.

He said being a king was as a result of what one's fans said. He went on to pray for God’s blessing for his loyal fans who created his image.

He said such fans were going to be blessed beyond measure and the blessing was going to be generational.

Shatta Wale’s comments came after he received a pencil art of himself from a fire service personnel. Prior to this, some fans ‘honored’ him with a haircut of his image and another fan is reported to be mounting a statue in his honor.

The “Ayoo” hit maker promised to gift the fan GHc 500 for using his haircut to show his loyalty to the Shatta Movement.

Shatta Wale recently headlined a music concert in Tema which was considered a ‘flop’ owing to his popularity. It was reported that only 500 people were at the concert.

The dancehall act has however taken to ‘preaching’ the gospel on social media as a number of his posts are directed towards God and how his fans can relate with the ultimate reality.

Early on, he was accused of ‘throwing’ Shatta Michy out of his house for cheating. It was however revealed that the incident was just a publicity stunt to promote Shatta Michy’s single.
