It appears as though the movement that hit Hollywood last year where women in the entertainment industry started voicing out their negative experiences with producers who demand sex in return for film production roles has finally hit Ghanaian shores.

In a short video on her Instagram page, popular TV broadcast journalist, MzGee revealed that she too has had a run-in with "one man" who she says was at every audition she went to, who also asked her to sleep with him in return for a role.

According to MzGee's video, this man was very connected and seemed to be the key to the movie industry back then. She said the man looked her in the eye and told her that she needs to sleep with him in order to get a role in the movie industry.

MzGee went on to say that she never did sleep with him and never got the role she was looking for, but that now she is in the entertainment industry anyway and is happy she didn't go through with the man's proposal.

Many have applauded MzGee's decision to open up about her experience, although many more have called out the fact that she stopped short of outright naming the man in question.

These commenters have stated that though her move is commendable, she cannot urge others to name and shame abusers since she herself has stopped short of doing just that.
