- The sculptor who created statues for Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan is also creating one for Shatta Wale
- Shatta Wale had previously warned him against making a statue of him
The sculptor who sculpted the state of Michael Essien unveiled in Kumasi, and that of Black Stars Skipper, Asamoah Gyan, is readying to outdoor a sculpture of Ghana's self-styled dancehall king, Shatta Wale.
It appears that the sculptor who created statues of two popular Ghanaian footballers - Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan - has now turned his attention to the image of dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
Following a highly publicized unveiling the statue of former Black Stars midfielder, Michael Essien, in Kumasi, many people both in and outside of Ghana took to social media to give their opinions of the new statue.
Some commended the sculptor for his efforts, while others said the statue's posture was unnatural, and that it didn't look anything like Michael Essien.
These comments were repeated when photos of Asamoah Gyan's statue done by the same sculptor emerged on social media.

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale, having seen the photos, publicly - and hilariously - warned the artist not to make one of him, but that seems to only have encouraged the now popular sculptor.
New photos suggest that very soon, Ghanaians will also have a chance to give their opinions of a life-sized statue of Shatta Wale, and if these initial photos are anything to go by, it might just end up being his best one yet.
