Afro-soul singer Adina Tembe Ndamse, known in showbiz as Adina, has set her sights on claiming the topmost prize at this year’s Ghana Music Awards (GMA).
The songstress has been on the rise since releasing the hit song “too late” last year
Adina was voted the Best Female Vocalist as well as the winner of the Afro-pop song of the year during the 2017 GMAs.
However, she insists the target is to now to go beyond that by winning the artiste of the year gong.
According to her, she has what it takes to usurp the male-dominated category to be crowned as artiste of the year at this year’s awards.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, the singer said: “Personally, as an artiste, I really don’t want it to end on female vocalist, best high life song or Afro-pop song of the year or even most popular song of the year. I look to win he artiste of the year award.”
She added that she is working hard to make sure that the public recognize her works and to subsequently vote for her to reach her aim.
“Definitely it is my aim to work hard to be able to convince the public that I deserve to win artiste of the year so I am working towards that,” articulated.
Having won two awards at the 2017 GMAs, Adina is now looking forward to winning the biggest prize at this year’s event.
