According to Sarkodie he doesn’t want young talented musicians to go through a lot of hassle before getting to his level.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra, the rapper insisted that he has already demonstrated that by signing onto his record label some young talented artistes.
In a report by Ghanaweb.com, Sarkordie in his conversation disclosed that he has been encouraged to do more in order to support more young Ghanaian talents.
“Listening to the president, let me say, I have grown over the years, when I came in initially, obviously we are all kind of frustrated with what we are supposed to do so who do we turn to? The parents and the parents are the government,” the rapper said.
Sarkodie further stated, “I think growing up and maturing till now, I have realized that we need to take things into our hands. We are actually lucky that it's not too flooded with people taking all the opportunities, we have more than we can explore”.
Sarkodie addressing the press maintained that as part of his contribution towards youth development in Ghana, 2018 is going to be a very busy year for him as he will mentor many young musicians.
The rapper said though the plan is still being discussed with the Ministry of Communications, he is convinced it is going to be the next big thing in Ghana music industry.
