The First Lady of Ghana, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Second lady, Mrs. Samira Bawumia have warmed social media with an elegant photo of themselves together, to commemorate the 1st year of the New Patriotic Party government in office.

Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo took to her Instagram page and shared the picture showing both women at work and beaming with smiles.

She captioned the photo, “H.E Hajia Samira Bawumia @sbawumia and I just looked back on the year 2017 and we are grateful for your support and encouragement. We admit there is more to be done and we will do our best to make our great nation better, especially for women and children. Let us stay positive with faith and consistent action, success will be inevitable in all we do. May God richly bless you all. H.E Rebecca Akufo-Addo”.

She thanked Ghanaians for their immense support and urged Ghanaians to stay positive, assuring that things were going to be okay with her husband at the helm of the country’s affairs.

Second Lady Samira Bawumia reposted the picture and caption on her Instagram page as well to show solidarity.

Ever since the picture was posted on social media, it has been liked and admired by their thousands of fans and followers.

The Fist and Second lady have been involved in a number of humanitarian projects that will seem to make the lives of many people especially women and children better.

One of the notable achievements of Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo last year was that she helped raised funds to put up a maternity block at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti Region.

During the Christmas festivities last year, Mrs. Samira Bawumia feted some prisoners and prison officers of the Akuse Local Prison.
