The unveiling and appointment is reported to have taken place during the launch of the Ghana Job Bank initiative which took place at the residence of former president John Agyekum Kuffour.

In the latest move to appoint Ghana-based actor Raheem Banda, it in no way means that the first ambassador, Abraham Attah was going to be scrapped off the policy.

The young actor after the event posed with many high-ranking members of the society including award-winning rapper Sarkodie and on-screen TV personality, Nana Aba Anamoah.

The actor attended the event with his sister, Asha Banda and he was spotted looking smartly dressed in a suit.

In June last year, the Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh unveiled Ghanaian international actor, Abraham Attah as the face of the Free SHS policy that was going to begin in September.

When the unveiling was done, many Ghanaians were up in arms over the choice because there was the argument that the young star was not based in Ghana. At the time, Abraham Attah was a student in the United States of America.

Many people moved that award-winning teen actress, Maame Serwaa known in real life as Clara Benson, and other young actors based in Ghana deserved the ambassadorial position better than Abraham Attah.
