Tamale sakawa man who posed as a Deputy Minister to defraud others jailed

- The 28-year-old impostor, Seidu Nurudeen was apprehended by the Police in Yendi in December last year for posing as a minister and MP

-He defrauded many people through Facebook accounts he created in the names of the Minister and MP

- Nurudeen has been handed a jail term of 32 months

In December last year, YEN.com.gh reported the news of a 28-year old internet fraudster who posed as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament (MP) to defraud others on Facebook.

Seidu Nurudeen posed like the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mahammed Habib Tijani and also the Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency, Alhassan Suhuyini to dupe others.

He credited Facebook accounts with the particulars of the two state officials.

But Nurudeen ran out of luck when he was busted by the MP and Minister who had him arrested by the Yendi Police and arraigned before court.

YEN.com.gh has been informed that the court has handed a total of 32 months jail term with hard labour to the culprit.

According to a report by mynewsgh.com, Seidu Nurudeen was found guilty by the court for defrauding by false pretense and was consequently jailed 20 months.

He was handed  an additional 12 months for impersonating by a Tamale District Court two presided over by His Worship Anthony Aduku Aidoo ESQ to run concurrently.

According to the facts of the case as presented to the court, the convict  had lured unsuspecting victims into paying several amounts under the pretext of getting them recruited into various security agencies in the country.
