- A joint police, military team has been deployed to check nomadic herdsmen at Agogo
- The deployment of the joint security force is expected to end the influx of nomadic herdsmen once and for all
It's been years since residents of Agogo in the Ashanti region cried for help after the scary and life-threatening entrance of Normadic herdsmen to the area.
These herdsmen have not just invaded lands belonging to indigenes but killed innocent residents including women and children not forgetting security officials who got shot in the line of duty.
But the fear and anguish were replaced with a sigh of relief and joy when a joint military and police force flexed their muscle and power during their majestic entry to the township of Agogo.
It was a sight to behold as residents queued along the major streets of Agogo to welcome the security unit with cheers and happiness - a scene typical of the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem in the Bible.
Speaking to Joy FM on the issue, member of parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi says he is hopeful this military intervention will put an end to the influx of nomadic herdsmen once and again.
