Ghanaian rapper, Kweku Sarpong Plahar, widely known as Zigi has disclosed that, management of sensational dancehall artiste, Ebony demanded Ghc7,000 to feature on his latest remix song.
The musician after releasing his hit single, “U say Weytin” went on a long break.
However, Zigi after his long break, is seeking to make a hit with a remix version of his 2012 track, but this time round featuring Kofi Kinaata and Gasmilla.
The rapper who took to his social media page to reveal the details of the song lamented that Ebony refused to be on the song because he couldn’t raise a fee of GHc7,000 for her management.
The 29-year-old musician won the Afro Pop Song of the Year at the 2012 edition of Ghana Music Awards.
Zigi after the award received huge following at the time, but parted ways with his record label, Lynx Entertainment and was unable to get back on his feet.
According to Zigi, the ‘U Say Weytin’ remix which features Kofi Kinaata and Gasmilla, took him two years to complete and was produced by three different producers namely Paynekilla, Bonze Beats and Beatz Dakay.
Though Ebony is not featured on the remix, Zigi is convinced his fans will welcome the song.
