The Ghana Police Service on Monday announced that it had intercepted some explosives suspected to grenades.
In a statement, signed by ACP David Eklu, Director General of Public Affairs of the police confirmed the arrest of three people in connection with the grenades.
Immediately after news of the interception broke, many Ghanaians took to social media share their views on the development.
greater number of the social media users commended the police for a job well done and asked for much better equipment for personnel.
But not all the comments were praises as there were a few negative ones
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service is expected to issue more public statements to explain where investigations have got to so far.
This will go a long way to calm the nerves of a section of Ghanaians who fear a possible terrorist attack.
