A father's attempt to save a young boy from being hit by his car has rather ended badly as his car somersaulted in the process.
Indeed, it ended fatally as his 13-year-old son met his untimely death as a result of the accident.
According to information gathered in the media by YEN.com.gh, Chief Chijioke Uwah and his family had travelled to Abuja from Enugu for a convention of Nigeria's largest opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Halfway through the journey, they passed through Lokoja and Anyimgba in Kogi State, where they bumped into an unguided boy who was crossing the highway.
Chief Uwah tried to save the boy by swerving to the other side of but the the vehicle somersaulted and in the process, his son, Chijioke Jr. Was thrown of the window dying instantly.
The other passengers in the vehicle came out unscathed with the exception of the father who sustained severe head injuries.
Chijioke Jr., according to Proudlyyoruba.com, was buried yesterday [Wednesday], January 17, 2018, at his father's home at Amofia Ngbo in Ebony state.
