Young Ghanaian artiste Mujahid Ahmed Bello, better known as Fancy Gadam, has disclosed that collaborating with top Ghanaian musicians shot him to fame.
According to Fancy Gadam, his management carefully approached some hit artistes in southern Ghana to feature them on his songs.
Speaking to Kasapa FM in Accra, the Tamale-based musician disclosed that his collaboration with Ghana’s ‘Highest’, Sarkodie made ‘wonders’ in his entire music career.
“Due to the challenges artistes from the Northern sector encounter, my management thought it would be best to get southern artistes to feature them on my songs to grant me the access,” he said.
The Northern artiste said that he is on the right path and is now targeting the global market with his latest song ‘Customer’ featuring Nigeria’s Patoranking.
“Music in the North is hard but with much effort we’ve been able to make progress, we’re still pushing harder to be heard nationally.
My new song ‘customer’ with Patoranking is to break into the Nigerian market and other Africa countries just as Sarkodie made me break boundaries into the southern part of Ghana,” Fancy Gadam said.
Fancy indicated that he has worked hard in the year under review and therefore deserves to be crowned the artiste of this year in the next VGMAs.
Gadam also disclosed that his management is currently planning to feature an international artiste to make him go global with his career.
