-Editor of Starrfmonline.com, Kent Mensah has reportedly been suspended from his role
-This follows pressure from NDC leaders over a flyer he posted on social media after the nomination of Mr Martin Amidu as Special Prosecutor
With former Attorney General Martin Amidu set to become the first ever Special Prosecutor, pending parliamentary approval, it is expected that many people will find themselves in trouble.
But what was not expected was the fact that Mr Amidu's appointment will have its first casualty this soon, especially not when it is yet to be approved.
However, YEN.com.gh understands that someone is already 'suffering' over the appointment and it is not someone we expected.
According to a report by Mynewsgh.com, the editor of Starrfmonline.com, Kent Mensah has been suspended by top management of the EIB Network for a social media post he allowed in the wake of Mr Amidu's appointment.
Mr Mensah, the report states, posted a flyer asking his outfit's social media followers to comment on persons likely to face to face the newly appointed Special Prosecutor if he gets approved.
With the exception of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, all the other people on the list were appointees of the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government led by former President John Mahama.
This seem not to have gone down well with the party's ledearship who believed since some of those named were already being investigated, it was wrong for him to have included them in the opinion poll, and they pressured the EIB management to punish him.
Mr Mensah is said to have been issued with a suspension letter via e-mail last Friday.
It is not yet known when he will be recalled but he is known to be instrumental in the progress of Starrfmonline.com as a formidable online news portal in Ghana.
He is been with Starrfmonline.com for the last three years.
