President Nana Akufo-Addo has shared a post on his official Instagram page, congratulating the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo over the successful completion of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital's new Maternity Unit.
Following the official commissioning of KATH's new Maternity Unit, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated his wife and First Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, for her hand in making the construction of the unit a reality.
Speaking at the commissioning, The First Lady stated that having seen the rate at which the lives of mothers and babies were being lost, she along with others were moved to act.
She also expressed pride at the fact that the new unit was the first "green" hospital in Africa.

In his Instagram post, President Akufo-Addo not only expressed pride at the new development, but also said the new Mother and Baby Unit will "help reduce, drastically, the mortality rate of mothers and babies at the hospital".
