Policeman on duty killed by speeding truck in Central Region

The death of a police officer who lost his life after a tipper truck dragged him along at the checkpoint he has been assigned to has surfaced in the media.

Reports from Graphic Online show that the police officer, G/LCpl Danso Animon's remains have been deposited at the Trauma hospital at Winnebamet his fate at the checkpoint at Gomoa Abotsia in the Central Region after a Mercedes Benz cargo truck which was loaded with copra from the Nzema area dangerously and recklessly ran over the metal barricade.

So far, police officials have managed to arrest the driver of the vehicle who later went on a rampage after the unfortunate development.
